Bike-a-Palooza (October 15, 2011)
BIKE-A-PALOOZA is a free event open to all at Steele Creek Park – October 15, 2011 (3pm to 5pm). There will be a Bike Rodeo, Bike & Helmet Check, Games, Beginner Skills, and Advanced Stunts.
Fall Camporee -October 7,8,& 9
We stayed up late and had a great time at the Ocanosta District Fall Camporee at Camp Davy Crockett!

We placed 4th out of 13 Troops in the Golden Kettle competition, and we were awarded the “Troop Spirit” Award.

Court of Honor -September 27th
September 17th and 18th -Mount Rogers

We began our hike at Massie Gap in Grayson Highlands State Park and set up our camp at Rhododendron Gap. We then hiked to the summit of Mount Rogers, which is the highest point in Virginia at elevation 5,729 ft.

On Sunday, August 14th, Troop 107 attended the Geology Merit Badge Program at the Natural History Museum in Gray, TN.

This was a great program that covered all the requirements for the Geology Merit Badge (Earth History option).
In addition to the classwork, we got to do some hands-on digging, where several of our scouts unearthed some prehistoric tapir bones and some chunks of carbonized wood.
